MainStreet Transmissions has 20,000 sq. ft. of space under one roof.  The usual shop equipment and software necessary for professional repairs are provided (except tools).   Customer vehicles are stored inside at night.
CURRENT OPENINGS AND REQUIREMENTS:
R & R MECHANIC:

* The position is full time.  If you have a history of not being dependable,               do not apply.
* Experience:
~ 1+ years in an auto repair shop, or
~ In lieu of experience, completion of formal automotive training (ASE            certificates, vocational school degree, etc.)
~ Work history
~ A valid driver's license is important but not absolutely necessary
           depending on your circumstances.
* Tools: 
~ You must have your own basic set of tools.  Snap-On,
   MATCO and MAC Tools make weekly stops at the shop which
   makes it possible for you to purchase additional tools needed
   on a payment plan.
* Pay: 
~ Understanding of labor time for repair work and flat rate pay.
* Benefits:
~ Uniforms are provided.
~ Half of the monthly payment for enrollment in basic Affordable Care
                   Act policy up to $200.00.
~ 5 days paid vacation leave accrued 1/2 day per month after 6
                   months on the job.
~ 5 days paid sick leave accrued 1/2 day per month after six months    on the job.
~ National holidays - day off plus $75 for the day.
~ Fridays - free pizza for lunch
LEAD TECHNICIAN:

* The position is full time.  If you have a history of not being dependable, 
           do not apply.

* Experience:
~ A qualified applicant must have at least 5 or more years experience
   in auto repair at a dealership or franchise shop or an independent
     garage.
~ Work history
~ A valid driver's license is important but not absolutely necessary
           depending on your circumstances.
* Duties:
~ General auto repair services including engine repair (replacement
   or rebuilding), diagnostics (including using the scan tool), general
   repair services (tune-ups, timing belt, brakes, A/C, electrical, tires,
   oil change, batteries, radiator/cooling system, fuel systems, lights,
   etc.
* Tools: 
~ You must have your own basic set of tools.  Snap-On,
   MATCO and MAC Tools make weekly stops at the shop which
   makes it possible for you to purchase additional tools needed
   on a payment plan.
* Pay: 
~ The job pays a base compensation for general shop duties,
                   customer assistance and technical assistance to other shop 
                   technicians plus a flat rate of $25/per standard repair time for any
                   assigned job.
* Benefits:
~ Uniforms are provided.
~ Half of the monthly payment for enrollment in basic Affordable Care
                   Act policy up to $200.00.
~ 5 days paid vacation leave accrued 1/2 day per month after 6
                   months on the job.
~ 5 days paid sick leave accrued 1/2 day per month after six months
                   on the job.
~ National holidays - day off plus $75 for the day.

PART-TIME:

* Experienced mechanics who are not able to work full-time due to family
  situations, health issues or enrollment in school.
~ Pay is flat rate or negotiable depending on your circumstances.
* Student intern to do basically any type of support task requested.
~ Shop assistance for technicians and clean up during and after
   repair job.
~ Office assistance for accounting, errands, parts pick-up and
                   ordering etc.
~ Pay is minimum wage.
* Flexible schedule, hours and days.
SECOND CHANCE POLICY:

* An arrest record keeps a lot of people from getting a job even though   
           they have paid for the mistake by serving time.  We believe in second
           chances.
